This is an exciting opportunity to join a leader in the design and manufacture of heat transfer solutions for commercial HVAC, power, chemical, oil & gas, biofuels, mining, general industrial , and Nary/marine applications. Xylem AWS Heat Transfer produces pre-engineered shell and tube, custom design shell and tube, gasketed plate, brazed plate, and air cooled heat exchangers under the brand StandardXchange for the industrial market segments and Bell &Gossett for the commercial HVAC market segments. Specifically, we are seeking a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt will lead project teams to improve critical business processes that drive financial results. Reporting directly to the Master Black Belt, this role will scope and execute continuous improvement projects and coach Green Belts to certification. Success in this position may lead to additional career opportunities of increasing responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Project Execution: Lead improvement projects throughout the Morton Grove facility and effectively coordinate these projects with the focus factory managers and key stakeholders and team members. Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to facilitate team activities, leading teams to execute projects with the problem solving methodology, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers.
2.Green Belt Coaching: Ensure the success of all Green Belts by providing timely coaching and mentoring of the appropriate LSS Tools, aiding in project documentation and guiding through the Certification process. Identify, recruit and prepare high caliber Green Belt candidates for future Black Belt opportunities.
3.VBLSS Change Agent: Act as a Champion for VBLSS by active and open communication throughout the organization on the progress and barriers of projects. Provide coaching to Key Stakeholders on the various VBLSS methodologies and the importance of sustainment.

Required Experience:

· Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering preferred)
· Green Belt Certification or Lean Master Certification (Required) / Black Belt Certification preferred
· Experienced Black Belts will be capable of leading projects that contribute at least $750K in business impact annually
· Experience facilitating multiple Kaizen events
Other Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
· Should have solid project management skills, Interpersonal skills and team leadership skills.
· Experience teaching GB / BB a plus
· Should have knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Product Dev., Eng., Quality, Purchasing, Mfg., Finance, HR, and Operations.
· Working Knowledge of Minitab and / or other Statistical software package desirable.
